Kaduna South: Senator Katung installs solar powered street lights in college of education

The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung has installed solar powered streetlights at Kaduna State college of education, Gidan Waya, in Jema’a local government area of the State.

The Senator has also facilitated the installation of the streetlights at Fadan Atakad community in Kaura local government area of the State.

The lawmaker said the gesture is aimed at m improving the quality of life of the people by providing illumination in public spaces, promoting safety and security in the environments.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the streetlights were installed at the college on Wednesday, a former Vice Chairman of Jema’a local government area, Mr. Micah Ngboni commended the efforts of Senator Katung.

According to Ngboni, “the situation in the college is very pathetic, that from the entrance gate to the school premises, there was no lights even for the security officers to work at night.

“The efforts the Senator has put so far across the senatorial district, we can say Southern Kaduna made the right choice by electing him as our Senator.

“I want to believe that we will see more development being executed by the Senator so that Southern Kaduna will look different during his tenure”.
