National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure, has slammed the President Bola Tinubu-led government for destroying the country in all sectors, urging opposition parties and the Nigerian masses to challenge the bad governance in action.
Abure lamented further that all the indices of development point to the reality that the country is retrogressing, as the hardship of hunger, insecurity, economic destruction and political jobbers take its toll on innocent citizens.
Abure spoke in Lagos yesterday, during a chat with journalists. “It is not capturing power that matters, but what you do with the power. It is not winning the election but what you do with the victory; how you transform lives and the people’s welfare.

“In all ramifications, the Tinubu-led APC government is a failure and the Nigerian masses have never had it as bad as this.
“At present, Nigerians are begging for food. Is it not a shame that Ukraine that is at war is sending us grains and all that. Nigeria has all it takes to build a great nation, but sadly, this APC government is presently taking us backward. Nigerians must unite to chase away this oligarchy in power.”
Abure said LP is the only Party that can restore hope and change the political trajectory of the country to the benefit and joy of all.
He challenged followership not to continue to be docile or to succumb to be part of those endorsing bad leadership due to temporary gratification.
“As a people, we need to reorient ourselves. There is this challenge of followership, where the people know who their problems are, but still go along to hail them, glamorise and sing their praises.”
Abure asked Nigerians not to lose hope because the LP would not fail the people as the party is poised to win the next general election in 2027.
He said despite the moles planted in the LP, its leadership would not be distracted, stressing that the LP is a solution provider that would tackle the Nigerian condition and put things aright.
