Nasarawa guber: Let’s meet at Supreme Court, Ombugadu tells Gov Sule

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu, has filed a petition on Wednesday challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Governor Alhaji Audu Sule and the All progressive Congress (APC) at the supreme court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ombugadu and the PDP, dissatisfied with the Appeal Court judgement in the battle for Nasarawa State governorship tussle, officially filed an Appeal at the Supreme Court to challenge the Appeal Court Judgment of 23rd November 2023.

According to sources close to the legal team of Ombugadu, it was reported that Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu through his Legal Team has earlier on Wednesday 6th December 2023 filed before the appeal Court Registry Abuja Division Four (4) different Notice of Appeal against the decisions of the Court of Appeal to the Supreme Court.

Daily Sun reports that the Tribunal seating in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital had affirmed Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu as the winner of the march 18 governorship election while the appellate court seating in Abuja on November 23 had also affirmed the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule nullifying the judgement of the Tribunal judgement delivered by Justice Ezikiel Ajayi.
