Kogi: Labour Party denies collapsing structure into PDP

Publicity Secretary of Labour Party (LP), in Kogi State, Emmanuel Idakwo has dispelled the rumour that the governorship candidate of LP, Adejoh Okeme has collapsed his structure into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Idakwo, who spoke at an interactive session with journalists in Lokoja, the state capital over the weekend said the rumours was aimed at diverting the party’s votes,   and urged the electorate to remain focused.

He declared that governorship candidate of LP, Adejoh Okeme is set to win the election on Saturday as he is the only candidate that could rescue and restore Kogi State to greatness.

He vowed that the party would rescue the indigenes of the state from hunger if voted into office on November 11, and urged the electorate to shun whatever pittance anybody offers them in exchange for their vote because the future of the state is at stake.

Idakwa reiterated that LP is a masses’ friendly party with good programmes for the state, and noted that the party’s candidate has campaigned  across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“ We  urge all members of Labour Party, supporters and well wishers, most importantly the Obedient family to remain committed to our just cause of bringing to an end the era of mal-administration and bad governance.

“A new Nigeria and a prosperous and united Kogi State is possible as Adejoh Okeme is set to win Saturday’s poll”, the LP spokesman said.
