The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has been described as a strong unifying factor in Nigeria’s political landscape.
His Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Chief Oliver Okpala, stated this after Dr. Ganduje was conferred with the traditional title of Agunaechemba Ndigbo (the lion that protects the people) by Ukpo Community In Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State
Okpala said the honor was a clear indication that the APC national chairman is acceptable across the country. “Ganduje’s nationalistic posture has been attracting awards, traditional titles and encomiums, and these have been from different geopolitical zones of the country.”
Chief Okpala maintained that Ganduje is a de-tribalized leader who should be a worthy example for other politicians.
He recalled as governor of Kano State, Ganduje made appointments from various parts of the country to show that he was a leader for all.
This he emphasized has made him to gain wide acceptability and re- enacted the fact that Nigerians can live in any part of the country as the nation belongs to everyone.
He commended Dr. Ganduje for emphasizing the need for Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper.
