Deputy speaker celebrates Kalu at 64

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and Igbo youths under the aegis of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) have congratulated former Abia State governor, Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, on his 64th birthday.

Kalu, in a statement, expressed gratitude to God for His Grace on the senator representing Abia North district.

The deputy speaker, while recalling Senator Kalu’s efforts in developing Abia State, during his tenure as governor, also acknowledged his contributions in Abia North.

He expressed his willingness to work with political leaders like Senator Kalu for more development of Bende, Abia North Senatorial District and Abia State in general, and called for greater synergy  between both of them.

The deputy speaker prayed God to grant Senator Kalu a long life filled with bliss, more fulfillments, accomplishments and celebrations in good health.

President General of COSEYL, Goodluck Ibem, in a statement, described Kalu as a blessing to humanity.

“Senator Orji Kalu is a great leader that brought to bear an excellent and exceptional leadership trait to the nation’s national political landscape.

“His representation has brought smiles on the faces of the good people of Abia North senatorial zone who before now were faced with poor and egocentric politics.

“He restored the confidence of the people in government and executed a litany of life touching projects across his senatorial zone.

“We pray that God will grant him more enablement and strength to continue to do more for his constituents,” Ibem stated.
