The village head of Konkyel in Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alh Suleiman Magaji Abdulkadir, has lauded the Member representing Darazo /Ganjuwa Federal Constituency of Bauchi State in the House of Representatives, Mansur Manu Soro for his respect for the traditional institutions in the constituency.
Abdulkadir particularly commended Manu Soro for embarking on the complete rehabilitation and remodeling of the Palaces of all the traditional rulers in the Two LGAs of Darazo and Ganjuwa which make up the Federal Constituency.
He made the commendation while speaking to journalists in his palace in Konkyel Darazo District of Darazo.
“We thank God for giving us Mansur Manu Soro, he is one of our finest sons and politicians,” he said.
“Between us and him, it is just the best of wishes, he has really demonstrated that he is a worthy Ambassador of the area.”
“For us in the traditional institutions of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, we own him a debt of appreciation. He has shown respect to us starting with the 3 District Heads we have in Darazo and Ganjuwa down to the Village Heads.
“For us in Konkyel, he has done many things that we cannot count all, let me just mention a few starting with this Palace, it was Mansur Manu Soro who made it look like what you are seeing now just as he did to all the 18 Village Heads in Darazo and Ganjuwa LGAs.
“Among these palaces, there are some which he completely remodeled from what they used to be to modern structures. Next was the Jummaat mosque which is just across the road of the Palace. Whoever sees this, will agree with me that it is a modern structure. He made it to look like a mosque in Abuja or any other city.
“We are very grateful to him for all he is doing to uplift the traditional institutions and restore its respect and dignity. We as traditional rulers owe him a lot, we will continue to pray for him to able to do more for the people of the Federal Constituency.”
“It did not come to us as a surprise considering his alliance with the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir who himself, respects the traditional institutions. Whatever Mansur Manu Soro has done for the good of the traditional institutions, did not come as a surprise.”
“I had a meeting with my hamlet heads and asked them if they had received the N10000 allowance from Mansur Manu Soro, all of them had received with the only exception which is me because of the account I am using.”
“That is just to show you how committed he is to our welfare. We are appreciative of his efforts. We know that he will not be tired of us, we too will not be tired of him.
“You are free to go round the Palace and see what he has done though we are asking him to please come and do more for us.
“As you all know, I am newly appointed as Sarkin Konkyel not more than 5 months ago. I am yet to move into the Palace because there are some things that need to be fixed,” he stressed.
“Though we have notified the Darazo LGA, yet we need urgent intervention and I am calling on Mansur Manu Soro to come in again to facilitate the fixing. The inner Chambers of the palace needs a little fixing while the back fence needs attention too.”
Suleiman Abdulkadir assured that the traditional institutions will remain loyal and supportive of the government in ensuring that it achieved its set objectives of peace and peaceful coexistence among the people.
