The national coordinator of the Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Support Group, Hon Oluchi Erondu has called on the Governor Alex Otti administration to ensure a level playing field for all political parties in the state.
Abia State Government which recently announced new members for the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC), is said to be planning to hold Local Government election in the state in October.
Hon. Erondu in making the call, urged Gov Otti to ensure a free and fair Local Government election in the state.
The APC Chieftain emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive and equitable electoral process.
“There is every need for the Governor to create an inclusive and equitable electoral process for the LG elections.
She urged Governor Otti to guarantee that the elections were not skewed in favor of any particular party, but rather allow all candidates, regardless of political affiliation or gender, to compete fairly.

Erondu, committed to mobilizing women’s participation in politics and promoting their leadership, stressed that women’s voices and perspectives are essential in building a more just and prosperous society.
She urged the Governor to ensure that the upcoming LG elections are a testament to Abia State’s dedication to democracy and equality.
